Lovely to meet you

My name is Sophia Schwan and I am a stylist and writer working to help shift the fashion industry to a just and sustainable future. By painting a picture of fashion that embraces quality, longevity and equity, regeneration, new value sets and collective care, I want to foster a new narrative that changes our hearts, minds and actions.

Why I do what I do

What future do we want to live in? What do we want our clothing, our second skin, to symbolise?

The fashion industry is undergoing a paradigm shift, and the urgency for a radical, systemic overhaul has never been more prominent. We need all hands on deck to achieve a collective mindshift that puts earth carepeople care and fair share at the epicentre and institutions and companies that turn these ideals into reality for the benefit of everyone.

“This is a time when we ought to dedicate ourselves to bringing about the greatest shift in human consciousness and in the way we live. We ought to consecrate ourselves to bringing about a conscious evolutionary leap forward… It is now time for us to be the most creative we have ever been, the most far-sighted, the most practical, the most conscious and selfless. The stakes have never been, and will never be higher.” ‒ Ben Okri

More wealth, technical know-how, and, most importantly, the desire and potential for systemic change are circulating than ever before. So what are we waiting for?
